Chroma Pocket Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026. This page explains how Chroma Pocket handles camera frames, imported photos, saved photos, and device permissions.
1. Summary
Chroma Pocket is designed as a local-first camera and photo filter app. Its core capture, import, preview, and editing features are intended to run on the user's device.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use camera content, imported photos, saved photos, or album records for advertising.
2. Information Chroma Pocket may access
Depending on how you use the app, Chroma Pocket may access:
- Live camera frames while the camera is open
- Photos or Live Photos you choose to capture
- Photos you choose to import from your photo library
- Photos saved inside the app's local Chroma album
- Filter, camera preset, language, and app settings
3. How information is used
Information is used only to provide the app's core features, such as:
- Showing a live camera preview
- Applying retro camera presets and photo adjustments
- Importing selected photos for local editing
- Saving processed photos when you choose to save them
- Keeping local app state, settings, and album records
4. Storage and sharing
Chroma Pocket processes camera frames and imported photos locally on the device. The app does not upload images, camera frames, or photo library content to our servers.
Photos are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save or export them. Chroma Pocket may also keep local app album records on your device so you can view recent Chroma shots inside the app.
If you choose to share an exported image through iOS share features, the selected destination handles that sharing under its own terms and privacy practices.
If future versions introduce cloud sync, account systems, analytics, ads, or external storage, this policy will be updated before or with the relevant release.
5. Permissions
Chroma Pocket may request permissions when needed for features you choose to use.
- Camera access: to show live preview and capture photos
- Photo library access: to import photos you choose
- Photo library add access: to save processed photos you choose
If you do not grant a permission, related features may not work until you enable it in iOS Settings.
6. Children's privacy
Chroma Pocket is not directed to children under 4, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Policy updates
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page and will apply to future app releases.
